Competition Captain Program
If you’re like many brewers, you want to enter competitions, and although you get pumped when you hear about them, or see other club members raking in the medals, but then it quickly leaves your mind, and by time you think about it again, it’s too late to brew anything.
Enter the competition captain program! The way it works is a fellow club member agrees to be a competition captain, then you let them know you know that you want to enter that competition, and the styles you plan to submit. They’ll send out reminders, and check in with you to see how things are going. Not only that, but they can also arrange to get some judge feedback early on in the process, so you can fine tune your recipe and process before the deadline!

BBoPP Member Only Competitions (Explanation)
For the BBoPP Member only competitions, the club has agreed to register the competitions with the BJCP, which means that entrants will receive actual BJCP Score sheets for their entries, and judges and stewards will receive points for the sessions they participate in.
Sign up / RSVP for the entry deadline posts in Meetup in order to receive the URL for registering your beer. If you would like to organize or judge one of the competitions, please contact Mike Scott via email (ms.thenetworker AT gmail DOT com) or the facebook group.
Anyone interested in organizing or judging is welcome to let me know and we can see about pairing you up with one of the other club judges for some experience.
Medal winners will receive praise and congratulations, as well as the satisfaction of brewing some fine beer. Sometimes there may be awards or medals depending on what we can scrape up.
